Sustainable Landscaping

There are varying definitions of sustainable landscaping. Ultimately, sustainable landscaping should include an attractive environment that is in balance with the climate, and requires minimal resource inputs such as fertilizer, pesticides, and water. Sustainable landscaping begins with an appropriate design that is functional, cost efficient, visually pleasing, and is environmentally-friendly and easily maintainable.

Sustainable short-term goals should include minimal water use, and implementing and using compost. Composting increases the organic matter in the garden and yard, while recycling nutrients within the landscape.

Long-term goals should include creating a more self-sustaining landscape. This includes all aspects of total plant health care, proper plant selection, using indigenous plants and materials as often as possible, and minimal maintainability.

Apex Landscape is conscious of the natural environment in every aspect of our business. The decisions we make each day as a business can help sustain our fragile environment. We take this responsibility very seriously, and work diligently to create exceptional, sustainable environments that support the health and welfare of our natural resources while providing an outdoor living environment that reflects your tastes and personality.
